"Well, better get ready. Mom's gonna have my head if I'm late to my salon appointment."

"All right, one pair of lacy underpants comin' right up."

"And just for good measure, equally lacy bloomers."

"Now just in case my legs weren't covered enough. we're going to add a petticoat. Fantastic."

I put my shoes on next, because I knew there was no chance of getting them on under everything else.

Then it was time for the dress.

I stepped into it.

I felt ready to change the world.
