There was a crash, and another girl came tumbling down beside me. She had reddish blonde hair that was tucked into a French braid, green eyes, and freckles. She was a lot tanner than me, and her clothes were definitely more suited for hiking.
She quickly got up and brushed herself off.
"Hi, I'm Bridget -"
The girl stopped mid sentence, obviously noticing what shape I was in.
"Um...can I help you?"
I used the last bit of my strength to prop myself up against the rock I'd fallen by.
"Look," I croaked, "I know you're from the palace. So just take me."
All of the blood drained from the girl's face. I couldn't tell why, I looked jut as bad sitting up than I had sprawled on the ground.
"Wh-what's your name?" she whispered, barely getting the sound out.
Now I was angry.
"Just stop pretending, okay?" I shouted in the loudest voice I could muster. "I know you're here to take me back. You want to know who I am? Fine! I'm Princess Allison Elizabeth Holly Sophia Charlotte the First! I ran away, and I'm never, ever, going back!
The girl was silent.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, she opened her mouth.
"Ali," she said...
"I'm your sister."
